Projects for Happiness 2017 Exhibition and Final Presentation

Khind Starfish Foundation (KSF) had organized “Project for Happiness 2017 Exhibition and Final Presentation” (PFH2017 Finale) on 15th of December 2017 at the Selangor Digital Creative Centre (SDCC), iCity, Shah Alam.
The purpose of this exhibition was to provide opportunity for the university students whom had successfully participated in the PFH 2017 to showcase their endeavour to the audiences. At the same time, this was a platform to interact and inspire others to do good for the community.
There were all together 19 projects carried out in 2017. The nature of project consist of 6 areas: relief of poverty and/or improve living condition, promotion of arts and culture, education, environmental protection, animal welfare and racial harmony.
Out of the 19 group projects, there were 6 outstanding projects were nominated for the “Best Project of the Year”. The 6 outstanding projects as below:
· SoyAi MalaysiaSoymilk SelfSustainability Project, Sunway and Nottingham University.
· Clean River for Recreation, Universiti Teknologi Mara
· Sexual Abuse Defense (SAD) Kit, Universiti Teknologi Mara
· Autism is a Gift, Universiti Teknologi Mara
· Safety Ride, Universiti Teknologi Mara
· Chinese Cultural Camp, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris
The students of these nominated projects were given 10 minutes to present and elaborate their achievement to the entire audience. The Best Project of the Year Award being conferred to “Safety Ride” project, by Universiti Teknologi MARA, Johor campus.
All involved students were presented with a certificate of appreciation for their relentless effort to deliver happiness to the society and the underprivileged.
Dr Sia addressed the audience with a touching speech and motivated them to carry on their good work.
Khind Starfish Foundation contributed RM93, 299 to support the19 community based projects from various universities to bring happiness to the society.
The participation of the exhibition was overwhelming. Nearly 130 guests comprised of Khind colleagues, university students, lecturers, Student Affair Department directors, KSF partners, media, corporate friends, judges, trustees, director of KSF, volunteers and friends. Honorable panel judges namely Cheng Ping Keat, Boh Boon Chiang, Dr Sia Ah Hiok, Abdul Razak Abdul Aziz and Tee Lee Meng graced the occasion.
PFH 2017 finale ended at 5.00pm.
